McLAURIN. March 3, 1859 93tf Land for 8ale. IOHN T. GILMORE now oti'ers for sale a portion of his swamp lands in the county of Cumberland about J4 miles below Fayetteville, and about 11 miles East of tlie Cape Fear River. The entire swamp lias been suc cessfully drained, of tlie large body of water by which it was heretofore covered. The land is apparently level, being free from ridges (which are so common to swamp lands generally,) whilst there is an abundance of fall, by which the rain water can be carried off liy onlinary ditches. A small ])ortion of the land has been in cultivation about 7 years, and those persons who have seen tlie crops regard tlie land as e([ualin fertility to any they have seen in this State or elsewhere. The loc!>tion is healthy, the H‘‘i^Iiborhood good, and the ac cess to Fayetteville and Wilmington easy by means of a good road li miles in length leading directly to the river. lU'sides this, it is within miles of a beatitiful little village, U)«>n a high and healthy BlutF. at the river, with a Store. Ware-house and first-rate landing. .\11 which afl'oril many conveniences to the neighbor hood. ,\s several persons have spoken of purchasing, this is duemed a proper time to call their attention to the subject. ina«much as there is a crop now growing upon a small portion of the land, by which they can judge of its production. Reasonable terms will he given to the purchaser. Sept. 10, 1858. 45tf FAYKTTEVII.LE HOTEL, T. WAD DILL, Propriktor.
